Bicycling

Winona is a hub for road biking and mountain biking in southeast Minnesota. The bluffs that surround the Winona provide challenging hills for road bicyclists and the Holzinger trails within the city provide over 10 miles of single-track riding for mountain bikers. In addition, because a majority of the City rests on a relatively flat sandbar, Winona is a friendly city for bicyclists of all skill levels. Click on the following link for more information:

Arts and Culture

The Arts and Culture scene in Winona Minnesota is considered a “hidden gem of the mid-west.” With two professional theater companies, the Great River Shakespeare Festival and Theatre de Mississippi, numerous music festivals such as the Mid West Music Fest and the Minnesota Beethoven Festival, and local museums – the Minnesota Marine Art Museum and Winona Historical Society, Winona is a thriving arts community.
