Access To Recreation
The Winona Park & Recreation Department welcomes people of all ages and abilities to participate in our programs and events. If you or someone you know someone who would like to take advantage of our programming and requires special accommodations, please contact us.
In the unfortunate case a program withdrawal needs to be made, we ask that you cancel 5 business days prior to the start of the program in order to receive a refund, less a $5.00 processing fee. This gives our staff the chance to enroll participants on the waiting list.
Scholarships are available to remove financial barriers to recreation. Upon completion of the scholarship request form and submitting your 2012 tax return, you will be informed of your qualification category. We follow the free and reduced lunch guidelines to determine financial assistance and allow for hardships to be considered in the application process. The application form is located on our website and is available in our office. The funding for scholarships is provided through a collaboration with Winona County and the annual Goose Bump Jump. Online registration is not available if you plan on accessing the scholarship discount.
