Mid West Music Fest Presents: Reina del Cid at Eds (No Name) Bar

Mid West Music Fest Presents:

Reina del Cid

From Left: Christopher Wiberg (upright bass); Reina del Cid (singer songwriter); Toni Lindgren (lead guitar); Zach Schmidt (drums).

Reina del Cid is no longer the singer songwriter she was five years ago, shyly posting songs to the Internet from a college dorm. As the new album recorded at the legendary Pachyderm Studios exhibits, she is the front woman of a band that knows its music and performs it with the passion that comes from having stretched boundaries, transformed together, and infused each song with the magic of a live show.

In 2012, Reina del Cid began a weekly residency at the Amsterdam Bar and Hall in downtown St. Paul where she played with her band every week for nearly two years. She has played Winona twice for Mid West Music Fest and her 2015 festival performance was cited by many as the “Best of the Fest”.

Reina and the band will be playing twice during the Winona Winter Carnival through collaboration with Mid West Music Fest. The first of these shows on Friday February 12th will help kick off the Winter Carnival weekend!

Have an early night Friday? Have kids you need to to put to bed? Still want to rock out?

Worry not! Reina and the band will be playing again at a special all-ages/family friendly, outdoor concert on Saturday afternoon at Holzinger Lodge (during the OERC Snowshoe Snowdown)! Keep scrolling for details about that special performance…

Date: Friday, February 12

Start time: 9:00 pm

Location: Ed’s (No Name) Bar, corner of 3rd & Franklin in Downtown Winona

Tickets/Cover: $5 at the door

“One of the hotter new bands in the Twin Cities… Infectiously folksy and fiendishly fun.”
