Special Events at the Friendship Center are fun for all!

The Winona Friendship Center hosts many special events throughout the year. Whether it is a picnic by the lake, musical entertainment, or a party, fun can be had by all who attend!  Pre-registration and payment required.

MN SAFETY COUNCIL DEFENSIVE DRIVING 55+ INITIAL COURSE Saving Money & Lives

Mon & Wed    Nov 7 & 9                      12:30-4:30 p.m.     Member: $14                     

  • If you are 55 or older, save money on your car insurance premiums and become a better driver
  • MN law requires insurance companies to offer you a 10% reduction for 3 years if you complete the

National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course, taught by professional certified instructors

  • Course is two 4 hr. classroom sessions—no driving or test required
  • Certificate provided for your insurance company after both classes have been completed
  • NOTE: Wisconsin residents must ask their insurance agent if they will cover the 10% discount

BRAIN HEALTH FAIR

  • Come join us as we learn how to keep our brains healthy
  • Challenge yourself and others through different games and activities
  • Guest speakers will provide tips and present on different ways to stay brain fit!

  • Join a national dialogue taking place here in our community
  • PBS’s Frontline Special documentary Being Mortal by Atwul Gawande.
  • A one-hour long video about what matters most followed by a discussion led by Lisa McCabe-Evans and Sheila Skeels

TREASURE & TRINKET SALE
