Future Uses of Central Elementary Public Gathering December 11

Future Uses of Central Elementary Public Gathering December 11

Want to share your ideas and concerns on the potential future uses of the Central Elementary building and grounds?

Join the City of Winona, which has contracted with Engage Winona on Tuesday, December 11 from 5-6:30 pm at Winona City Hall (207 Lafayette St.) to connect residents in conversation and hear input on future uses, play space and other topics of importance related to reuse of the Central School property.

City staff will be available, and Winona Area Public Schools board members and leaders will be invited to be available for questions. All feedback will be collected into a report and shared back during a follow-up event on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 5-6 pm at City Hall, where feedback on the report will be invited.

This is a key opportunity for residents to have their voices heard. All comments will be compiled into a report to provide guidance and information to buyers and developers, who will be working with the city on plans for the property.

This event is focused on connecting with neighborhood residents— everyone who lives near Central is especially invited. The event is also open to the general community.

RSVPs are appreciated but not required: visit http://bit.ly/centralreuse to register.

Residents are also invited to provide input through a short, anonymous survey, especially those unable to attend the gathering: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/centralreuse.
