Parks & Recreation Seasonal Employment

The mission of Winona Parks and Recreation is to provide accessible, flexible, and connected quality parks, facilities, and experiences for all. We have numerous summer job opportunities, including positions with the Bob Welch Aquatic Center, Lake Lodge, East Rec Center, youth and adult sports, Friendship Center, and Park Maintenance. To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each minimum qualification which consist of:

  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision, exercise sound judgement and problem solving skills
  • Must be responsible and reliable
  • Experience participating in and/or supervising recreational sports programs
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Current CPR/ first aid certification or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to lift/ carry up to 30 lbs
