Since John A. Latsch donated nearly 2,200 acres to the City of Winona, which include Aghaming Park, Latsch Island, Prairie Island, and Gabrych Park to name a few, the City has embraced his spirit and love for the outdoor environment.
Winona is known for leading recreation trends within the state of Minnesota.
