The Citizens Environmental Quality Committee was created by the City Council in 1996 to serve as an advisory board to the City Planning Commission. The Committee is responsible for the attainment of the environmental goals and implementation of environmental policies of the Winona 2007 Comprehensive Plan and modifications to the plan as they occur.
Agendas are available prior to the meetings. Minutes are available following approval.
The Citizens Environmental Quality Committee consists of seven members who serve three year terms and are appointed by the Mayor, with approval of the City Council. The committee is supervised by Natural Resources Sustainability Coordinator, John Howard. Positions open October 8th.
Winona citizens who are knowledgeable in environmental or natural resource related areas. The Chair of the Committee will be a member of the Planning Commission.
