Every Child's Dream Playground (Lake Park)
New all-inclusive playground at Lake Park (behind Bandshell). The playground is located behind the historic Bandshell overlooking East Lake Winona. Lake Park offers plentiful green space and nearby soccer fields as well as tennis and pickle ball courts.
Bambenek Fields Playground
This playground is located near field #5 in the Bambenek Complex just off of Hamilton Street and the Hamilton Street Boat Ramp. There is a drinking fountain onsite and portable toilets across the street aside the Lions Shelter and sand volleyball court that overlooks East Lake Winona.
This park is located just beneath the Pelzer Street overpass tucked away on North Street (turn onto Otis Street off of West 5th Street). This park offers playground equipment, a fenced area, and a picnic table with a large amount of green space to run. This is a very quiet park space for picnicking and play.
Bob Welch Aquatic Center
The Bob Welch Aquatic Center is open seasonally, early June until approximately Labor Day and offers a large Olympic-sized, zero-depth swimming pool with two diving boards, mushroom fountain, and a slide. Outside the pool area, children and parents can enjoy a sand area and playground as well as some deck games such as giant checkers and chess. The playground area is open with admission during aquatic center hours.
Dakota Street Playground
This playground is located just off of Dakota Street by the boat landing on West Lake Winona. There is a nearby shelter (Hiawatha Valley Marine Shelter) with picnic tables and a softball field along the Lake Park Path and the Willows Disc Golf Course.
Gilmore Valley Park
|Gilmore Valley Park is a quiet neighborhood playground and picnic area with lots of green space and a great view of the valley. Along with the playground, there is a picnic shelter and bathrooms. This shelter space is not reservable, but open for use to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.|
Kiwanis Shelter Playground (by Prairie Island Campground)
|The Kiwanis Shelter Playground is located right off of Prairie Island Road just past the campground and adjacent to the Kiwanis Shelter by the spillway to the Mississippi River.|
Enjoy a sandpit volleyball court and plentiful green space perfect for reunions and picnics. The dog park is located across the road from the playground.
Knopp Valley Park
Knopp Valley Park is located inside the Knopp Valley subdivision off of Highway 14. The park has a large playground, lots of green space, and a ball field. The basketball and tennis courts have recently been updated and includes pickleball striping and tennis courts. In the winter months, weather permitting, there is an ice skating rink for the public to enjoy.
