The Bud King Ice Arena is a multi-million dollar renovation project that was created through a partnership between the City of Winona and the Winona Area Youth Hockey Association (WAYHA ). Under a management agreement between the two organizations, the City is responsible for maintaining and operating the facility and WAYHA  is responsible for programming. This public/private partnership has produced a new indoor ice refrigeration system and outdoor ice rink that overlooks the beautiful Mississippi River.

Public skating is a fun filled atmosphere for all ages to enjoy. Skating sessions begin in November and run through March. The arena is a great place to bring a youth group, birthday party, or a company outing. Open sessions are subject to a capacity limit. Paid admissions begin 15 minutes before the scheduled time of the session.
