To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each minimum qualification which consist of:

  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision, exercise sound judgement and problem solving skills
  • Must be responsible and reliable
  • Experience participating in and/or supervising recreational sports programs
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Current CPR/ first aid certification or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to lift/ carry up to 30 lbs

Parks & Recreation Seasonal Employment

Available Positions:

Lifeguard – $11.00/hr.

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations and supervision of the pool facility
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Provide necessary supervision to prevent accidents both in the water and on the pool deck area
  • Adhere to a strict set of guidelines designed to ensure the safest and cleanest environment possible
  • Emphasis placed on maintaining a safe and pleasant swimming environment
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Must possess current Lifeguarding certification

  • Associate’s degree with focus on administrative support
  • Two years of experience
  • Data entry and bookkeeping skills or training
  • Microsoft Certified Professional certificate or similar training

Wastewater Maintenance Worker

Job Summary

This full time maintenance position performs wastewater equipment and sanitary sewer maintenance work including the use of heavy equipment combined with technical knowledge in a specialized area.

Job Requirements

Minimum:

  • High school diploma
  • One year of wastewater technology, mechanics, plumbing, or related experience
  • Have or be willing to obtain class B commercial driver’s license within air break and tanker endorsement within six months of hire
  • Have or be willing to obtain class D wastewater operator’s license within one year from date of hire

Desired:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent training at a technical or vocational school with a focus on wastewater technology, mechanics, plumbing or related field
  • Three years of experience
