Alternate Side Parking

From November 15 to March 15, vehicles parked on all city streets between midnight and 6:30 a.m. must be on the even-numbered side of the street when the date is even and on the odd-numbered side of the street when the date is odd. This is based on street addresses; generally the north or east side of a street is even-numbered and the south or west side of a street is odd-numbered.

There are 2 lots downtown that are affected by Alternate Side Parking and they are lots #1 and #3. Both lots have signs that indicate what days allow parked vehicles. Lot #1 is off 2nd St between Center St and Lafayette St. NO PARKING in lot #1 on ODD numbered days between 12:01am and 6:30am. Lot #3 is by the bus shelter off of Center St between 3rd St and 4th St. NO PARKING in lot #3 on EVEN numbered days between 12:01am and 6:30am.

Vehicles in violation of the Alternate Side Parking ordinance are subject to a $25.00 citation and possible towing. Citations may be mailed or dropped in the drop box near the front doors of the Law Enforcement Center; include the citation along with your payment in an envelope. Citations may also be paid at the Police Department on the 2nd floor.

Vehicles towed during a tag and tow operation will be towed to Borkowski Towing.  A release slip must be obtained by the registered owner of the vehicle from the Police Department in order to get the vehicle out of storage.   All fees for towing and storage are paid to Borkowski’s.
